This service is offered for those who need to facilitate a burial but are unable to attend the burial; or the body is being shipped from a distant state for burial here in Northwest Connecticut. Immediate burials are also provided by The Gleeson Mortuary and then a Memorial Service is held at a future date.

Our charges for Immediate Burial, without any attendant rites or ceremonies, include:

• The necessary basic services of funeral director and staff
• Initial transfer from place of death
• Local transportation to cemetery

The Immediate Burial service does not include:

• A casket
• The cemetery required burial vault
• Cemetery grave preparation fees

Burial is at the convenience of the cemetery and mortuary personnel.
