Curtis  Blakeslee
July 25, 1926 to January 20, 2010





 

Torrington- Curtis Blakeslee, 83, of Belmont Drive, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of the late Sigrid (Stiegemanis) Blakeslee.

Mr. Blakeslee was born in Torrington on July 25, 1926, son of the late George and Anna (Reinke) Blakeslee and was a lifelong Torrington resident. He was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and was a electrician with The Torrington Company for many years and was an employee of Eyelets for Industry in Thomaston.

Survivors include a son, George A. Blakeslee of Torrington, a daughter, Karin Gingell of Morris, a granddaughter, Christina Dorso of Litchfield, a grandson, Theodore Gingell of Milford, a brother, Vernon Blakeslee and his wife Rose, of Torrington, two nephews, Vernon Blakeslee, Jr. and his wife Karen and Kenneth Blakeslee, all of Torrington and two nieces, Sandra Weiss and her husband, Jeffrey, of San Antonio, TX and Diane Tokarz of Torrington.

 

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 11:00a.m. at St.Paul's Lutheran Church, 837 Charles St., Torrington, Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Garden of Memories.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
