Sudbury, MA- Nancy J. Martinek, 85, formerly of West Pearl Road, Torrington, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Wingate Nursing Facility in Sudbury, MA. She was the wife of the late John E. Martinek. Mrs. Martinek was born in Torrington on November 24, 1924, daughter of the late Patsy and Catherine (Sileo) Ciriello and was a Torrington resident for most of her life before moving to Massachusetts several years ago. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed caring for her family. She was a seamstress for the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and continued on with knitting clubs throughout her life. Survivors include a son, Robert Martinek of Bolton, MA, a daughter, Patricia Goldberg of Goshen, a brother, James Ciriello of CA, a sister, Carmella Crameri of Torrington, four grandchildren, Dawn Erwin, Kimberly Martinek, Brian Martinek and Stefanie Martinek and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Martinek was predeceased by a brother, Daniel and a granddaughter, Rhoda Erwin. |
