Atlanta, GA – Kevin C. Ormsby, 41, of Atlanta, GA died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Wellstar-Cobb Hospital.

Kevin was born in Torrington, CT on October 30, 1968, the son of Carolyn M. (Brown) Ormsby of Atlanta and formerly of Waterbury and Torrington and the late Charles B. Ormsby. Kevin lived in Torrington all his life until recently moving to Atlanta. He attended Torrington Schools and was a graduate of OWTS. Kevin was an avid sports fan, and worked as the Sports Editor of the Register Citizen for many years. A die hard NY Giants, NY Mets and UCONN fan, Kevin also spent time playing cards, golf, shooting pool and managed softball teams locally. Kevin enjoyed the holidays and was known for always having an original Halloween costume. He enjoyed reading, cooking and had taken up gardening since moving to Atlanta.

He leaves behind to cherish the memories his mother and sister, Kimberly A. Ormsby of Atlanta, GA, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many good friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 12:00 noon at The Gleeson Mortuary, 258 Prospect Street, Torrington. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call on Monday, February 8, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 from 11:00 A.M. until time of service
