Torrington- Kathryn M. Kozlak, 103, formerly of High Street, died Saturday, January 23, 2010, at Torrington Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late James A. “Jake” Kozlak. Mrs. Kozlak was born in Torrington on October 12, 1906, daughter of the late Andrew and Sophie Zaharek. She was retired owner of The Vogue Beauty Salon, in Torrington, a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols. Survivors include a brother, George Zaharek, of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Andrew, John and Steven Zaharek and two sisters, Sophie Hogan and Mary Tomasco. |
