Marion Ann Lent
September 14, 1944 to January 27, 2010





 

TORRINGTON- Marion “Micki” Ann Lent, 65, of McKinley Avenue, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of George W. Lent.

Mrs. Lent was born in Torrington on September 14, 1944, daughter of the late Martin and Marion (Stengel) Mostyn and was lifelong area resident. Mrs. Lent taught second grade at Lake Garda Elementary School, Region 10 for over forty years before her retirement. She enjoyed genealogy, researching her Irish and German ancestors and also spending time with her grandchildren and nieces and their families. She looked forward to and enjoyed shopping and spending time with her husband on their weekend jaunts to Maine.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Anita Lee Parker and her husband Terry, of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Marion Agnes Lent of Canaan and Ruth -Sarah Ann Mazzaferro and her husband Mark, of Torrington, five grandchildren, Lance Cpl Alexandre Lent USMC, Tessa Parker, Caleb Parker, Isaiah Parker and Isabella Mazzaferro, a sister, Susan Sadowski of Torrington, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marianne and Philip Lent of Torrington and nieces, Susan Kellogg, Jennifer Lent, Mary Romano, Rebecca Davis, Roxanne Melaragno, and Michelle Sadowski, their families and her beloved faithful companion, Hannorah Penny Lent.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at 10:00a.m. at The Bakersville United Methodist Church, 1087 Litchfield Turnpike, New Hartford. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call at The Gleeson Mortuary, 258 Prospect Street, Torrington, on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
