Torrington- Joseph Orsi, 89, of 44 Wyoming Avenue, died Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Torrington Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the beloved husband of sixty-one years of Mary (Kelmel) Orsi. Mr. Orsi was born in Winsted on June 26, 1920, son of the late Diego and Jennie (Caruzzo) Orsi and was a lifelong area resident. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Army Medical Corps in New Guinea and Australia. He was a retired employee of The Torrington Company, retiring with forty-four years of service. Mr. Orsi was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing. Survivors, in addition to his wife Mary, include one son, David Orsi and his wife Inge, of Torrington, one daughter, Patricia Kennedy and her husband Roy, of Lunenburg, MA, two sisters, Celestina Andrews of Torrington and Mary Sisko of Bristol and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Mike and Nick Orsi and Remmie DeMasi. |
