Helen B. Nomelli
March 31, 1925 to February 20, 2010





 

Torrington- Helen B. Nomelli, 84, of Wadhams Avenue, died Saturday, February 20, 2010, at her home. She was the wife of John A. Nomelli.

Mrs. Nomelli was born in Torrington on March 31, 1925, daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Liewicka) Fiedorowicz and was a lifelong Torrington resident. She was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church and had a strong devotion to her Catholic faith. She was a member of the Polish National Alliance and had been a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, John, include a son, John F. Nomelli and his wife Mamie, of New Hartford, two daughters, Susan Nomelli-Crosley and Anne Marchand and her husband Henry, all of Torrington, two brothers, Raymond Fiedorowicz, of Torrington and Stanley Fiedorowicz, of Burlington, a sister, Alice Germano, of Torrington, a grandson, Steven Marchand, a granddaughter, Lauren Marchand and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at 10:00a.m. from The Gleeson Mortuary, 258 Prospect Street, Torrington, to St. Peter’s Church, 107 East Main Street, Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call on Monday, February 22, 2010 from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m.
